Nonprofit Excellence Awards
Created in 2007, the Nonprofit Excellence Awards program honors outstanding performance by nonprofit organizations, their staff, volunteers and board members. Also included in the program is recognition of a local business for their community support, both through contributions and volunteer involvement.

The Award categories are:
Jane T. Russell Excellence in Governance Award
The board selected for this award will have demonstrated best practices in one or more of the primary nonprofit governance responsibilities of planning, financial and programmatic oversight, resource development, visibility, board development and responsiveness to change.
Innovation Award
This award is limited to small nonprofits with gross revenue under $500,000 per year. The nonprofit organization selected will have demonstrated innovative internal or external innovative strategies or approaches designed to achieve improved performance or impact.
Corporate Community Support Award
This award will honor the business or corporation in the South Puget Sound region that has provided integrated support for the nonprofit sector including contributions, volunteer support and in-kind services targeted to helping one or more nonprofits achieve greater sustainability.
