| At the Nonprofit Center we provide:
Education: A rigorous schedule of seminars and workshops is offered throughout the year on topics relating to nonprofit management. Custom designed training is provided to individual organizations with specific needs. Each fall a major conference, All About Boards, is held focusing on nonprofit boards.
Volunteer leadership development: Center staff and trainers work with nonprofits in providing board training and in expanding and improving recruitment and leadership development activities. Work also is done in the community to expand the pool of knowledgeable potential board members through our Basic Board Certification Program.
Financial Services: The Nonprofit Center provides bookkeeping and accounting services in order to help nonprofits manage their financial resources more accurately, efficiently and effectively. Services provided include:
- Advising on the development of your financial procedures manual
- Advising on the creation of an appropriate Chart of Accounts
- Assisting you in changing or upgrading your accounting software
- Assisting you in developing an informative cash management system
- Preparing financial statements
- Performing budget and account reconciliations
- Preparing customized reports and your 990
- Providing training to staff

Consultation and facilitation services: Center staff and other consultants are available to provide a wide variety of services:

Fees for consultation and facilitation vary depending on the nature and complexity of the work to be done. Building Connections: Center staff work to increase and strengthen networks among nonprofit organizations for collaboration, program enhancement and better utilization of resources. Included in these activities are the convening of the Executive Directors' Forum, the Finance Directors' Discussion Group and the Development Directors' Forum, all of which meet regularly throughout the year. The Center also presents the semi-annual Grantmakers' Roundtable which brings funders and grant seekers together.
